Someone found this sweet girl wandering in Sacramento, and Animal Control brought her to a shelter. We are unsure if she was a domestic pig who was dumped/abandoned, or if she was considered someone’s “livestock.” In any case, no one came looking for her for the past 2 weeks.
The shelter contacted me as soon as the stray hold period was up, and although we do not have a long-term plan in place, pur main priority was to get her out of the shelter to give her (and them) some space and love. With our rescue friend, Sam at , we are determined to do everything you can for her, which may turn out to be more than initially expected as there are some health complications that were unforeseen (that will be mentioned in a video later today). Although she and Merlin cannot interact at this time, they have seen each other through the sliding glass door… that video will be next!
