brings the international art world together. Open 18-21 June, the fair features over 200 leading galleries and more than 4,000 artists from five continents. The fair was founded in Basel, Switzerland, in 1970 as a bold experiment—one conceived by gallerists, for the benefit of galleries, artists, and collectors. From the outset, it combined commercial rigor with curatorial ambition, reinforcing quality, transparency, and curatorial coherence that have helped define the professional standards shaping the sector today.
Over the last 25 years has launched fairs in Miami, Hong Kong, Paris, and now Qatar. It operates as the preeminent global marketplace for art, bringing international fairs, year-round initiatives, research, awards, and partnerships onto a single powerful platform.
