Each original mixed media artwork in the “Ballerina Series” is 8” x 10” mixed media, watercolor and ink designed with the idea of capturing the hopes and dreams of those who dare to imagine and strive to succeed despite obstacles of their respective surroundings. The element of fluidity captures the essence of water in its power, its motion, its vulnerability; that embody femininity. Each dancer flows with supreme skill and graceful fluidity. As with life, the artwork tactical considerations change rapidly giving voice to the fluidity of the young woman's world coupled with her hopes and dreams of her future.
