The song love is a battlefield was running through my head on this painting today.
Poppies only last 2-3 days in my garden. I’ve been rescheduling my life around these beauties.
This painting was a battle, scraped off twice and repainted, all while fielding texts, slapping bugs and watching the flowers slowly closing up for the night 😂
Flowers are so challenging to capture in paintings, overall I’m happy with it. 🎨🌺
