In this painting I am exploring ideas around the healing journey of experiencing loss and how the process of grief is sacred act of healing.
I’m greatly inspired by ancient teachings of the mysteries. My direct encounter with a bear sparked the theme which invited the knowledge of the sacred hoop of seven stars into my learning. I discovered the hoop dancers calling in the healing energies through ceremonies and dance. All the aspects of this artwork are intentional. I’m telling a story through this type of art, a visual story wrapped in symbolism.
I invite curiosity and interpretation to this painting.
What does it evoke for you? What questions come up for you to sit and reflect on. Maybe nothing, maybe something. It’s completely subjective and all responses are welcome.
