Sometimes I get to make something extra special. 💙

Last weekend I had the joy of giving this birth announcement to a sweet friend's son and daughter-in-law as they celebrated their soon to arrive little one.

Baby Axel's announcement is ready for all those important details once he arrives- date, time, weight and length. Once he's here, I'll get this cute sign back, and engrave those statistics.

This is exactly the kind of piece that inspired Doc's Designs.

Made for a moment. Kept for a lifetime. 💙

A little sneak peek at what's coming next week...

This beautiful wooden bread knife can be engraved to make it a meaningful addition to the kitchen — or paired with a favorite board for a gift that's both beautiful AND useful. I'm still working on some design ideas, but I know that this one will be available!

And yes... I had to actually buy bread for this photo shoot. The sacrifices I make for Doc's Designs. 😂

That is a wet dog, who isn't happy that he had to have a very long bath!

Last week Doc tried to be friends with the neighborhood skunk. The skunk didn't agree to the terms of friendship. We now have skunk deterrents in our backyard (strobe lights, anyone?!). Never a dull moment with this guy....🙄

Apparently I was worried there might be a national pencil shortage. ✏️😂

Good news: there isn't.

Even better news: I have PLENTY of personalized pencils ready for the school year!

Choose classic yellow, fun pastel color, or larger size (yellow) and add a name to make school supplies a little more special - and a whole lot harder to lose.

I've added a few little extras lately, including personalized safety whistles that are great for backpacks, college students, and anyone heading out on their own.

School may be starting, but I'm definitely not finished making things for it. ❤
