Although we are closing our brick and mortar shop, we are excited to continue providing the services you've come to rely on:

-Quilt kits, pre-cuts, batiks, Sashiko supplies, ice-dyed Sashiko threads, and other specialty products through our online store and at quilt shows.
-Professional longarm quilting with the same care and quality you've always trusted.
-Sales and service of APQS Longarm Quilting Machines.
-Factory-certified APQS machine repair and maintenance.
-A large inventory of APQS parts, accessories, rulers, and quilting supplies.
-Longarm rentals and classes in our home.
-Personal Quilt Valet Service for local pickup and/or drop off of your treasured quilts, making it easier and more convenient than ever to get your quilts to us safely and with care.

You'll also continue to find us at quilt shows and trade shows, where we'll be demonstrating APQS longarm machines, sharing new products, catching up with old friends and making new ones along the way.

We'll still host special events throughout the year, offer by-appointment services and find new ways to stay connected. We truly hope you'll continue this journey with us.

Most importantly, we want you to know how deeply grateful we are.

Although one chapter is ending, another is just beginning.

Dear Friends,

There are some letters that are easy to write, and then there are those that tug at your heart every time you sit down to put the words on paper. This is one of those letters.

After many wonderful years, we have made the difficult decision to close the doors of our brick-and-mortar quilt shop and begin a new chapter as Kay's Quilt Shop & Roosters Longarm Services—a home-based business serving you online, by appointment and at quilt shows throughout the region.

When we first opened our doors, we dreamed of creating more than a quilt shop. We hoped to create a place where people could gather, laugh, learn, share ideas and inspire one another. Looking back, we realize that dream came true in ways we never imagined.

Our shop has been filled with beautiful fabrics, colorful threads, and countless quilts, but the greatest treasure has always been you.

We've celebrated finished quilts, welcomed beginners into the quilting world, admired each other's creations, solved quilting challenges together and shared stories about family, life and the memories stitched into every quilt. Many of you walked through our doors as customers and left as friends. Those friendships have become one of the greatest blessings of this journey.

Making this decision has not been easy.

Like many seasons in life, there comes a time to embrace change. For us, that means slowing down a little, making more time for our family and enjoying life's quieter moments while still doing what we love most— serving the quilting community that has given us so much.

While our storefront is closing, our story is far from over.

✂️ Scissor Sharpening at Kays Quilt Shop✂️

UPDATE: Sherry can also sharpen knives!

We’re excited to welcome Simply Sharp to Kays Quilt Shop on Saturday, July 18 from 10 AM to 1 PM!

Bring your scissors in for professional sharpening - no appointment is necessary! Simply sharp will stop accepting scissors at 1 PM but will finish sharpening all scissors that are dropped off before then.

If you met Sherry at our quilt show earlier this year, you already know she does an outstanding job at a very reasonable price. This is a great opportunity to get your fabric scissors, embroidery scissors and other sewing scissors performing like new again.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.✂️🧵

Great news! We have more Christmas stocking kits available at Kay's Quilt Shop!

These stockings will be lovingly made and donated to our troops and children in foster care, helping bring a little extra joy during the holiday season.
