Join us in the Community Room on Thursday, 9/24 at 7:00 PM for a Live! Folklife Concert with I Draw Slow! A second performance will take place on Friday, 9/25 at our partner’s site, the Historic Salem Courthouse in Salem, NY. (Doors open at 6:30 PM)
I Draw Slow is a five piece folk band based in Dublin. They write original songs that evoke Appalachian old time, Irish traditional and indie folk. Fiddle, banjo, guitar, double bass and sibling harmonies combine to create a sound that is both traditional and fresh, foregrounding storytelling and melody, delivered by skilled and passionate musicians. The band has played over 50 North American tours and many of the biggest folk festivals in Canada and the US. Signed to Nashville label Compass, I Draw Slow is currently working on a sixth studio album.
Live! Folklife Concerts are produced, hosted and recorded (for our YouTube page) by the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library, and are made possible in part by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Governor's Office and the New York State Legislature.
