Back in January, I received the announcement of the store closure of Mudflat Gallery in Porter Square. The gallery is officially closed as of yesterday 4/25/2026, after 27 years.
Today, the shelve has been cleared, the name tag got peeled off.
The Mudflat Gallery was my first “physical location” to sell my pottery. The shop closure had a deep impact on my journey.
About 20 years ago, a young woman with her ceramic dream walked pass the gallery, she was amazed with all the pots she saw on display, she made her pledge that one day she will become one of the artists selling her own pottery in the gallery. She did it! In 2019, her works were on display facing the parking lot, with the intention of her happy squirrels, bunnies kitties “looking out the window,” a smile is what she wants to see 😊
Thank you Mudflat Gallery, for having June Lee being part of this great era. This place holds a special meaning to me. 🥲
Moving on, one thing that I am certain is that I will continue to create, keep my art journey going! Maybe more commission works, maybe more teachings… I can only say “life is like a box of chocolates!” 🍫
Lastly, please give some support to all my colleagues - follow them 🙏⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
and many more from the Mudflat Gallery!
