📣 New England Hong Kong Festival 新英格蘭香港節 2026

📆 5/30 Saturday (Rain Date 5/31 Sunday) 11am-5pm
📍Seven Hills Park (Davis Square) Somerville

多謝大家嘅支持今年再接再厲!🙏 With the great responses from last year, I am attending this wonderful event for the second time with more of my kitty products! I also invited the very talented Annie Lister to join me this year.

Annie is a ceramic artist and storyteller who left a corporate engineering career to build a practice rooted in slowness, intention, and the quiet beauty of making things by hand. Her work carries the influences that shaped her: the precision of an engineering mind, the warmth of Chinese material culture, and the Asian American experience of holding two worlds at once. Based in Boston and working out of Mudflat Studio in Somerville, she makes functional ceramics for everyday ritual, pieces designed to make your slowest moments feel like home.

We are Somerville artists from Mudflat Pottery School.

We hope to see you at this event! 希望到時見到你 🫶

Thank you New England Hong Kong Festival City of Somerville

“Be happy” 💕

A troll to Salem this morning. As usual, grab a cup of latte at the Red Line Cafe and sit for a while, the messages on each of the table are heartwarming ❤️

A new inventory of my cat items are now delivered to Moody’s Gifts 🛍️😻 - be sure to check out Moody’s if you are up at Salem! They carry many local artists’ items, supporting the artist like me.

At last… little sparrow… it made me smile 😊 Life is not easy sometimes, make choice to see the good and keep showing up for ourselves 💪

Looking forward to see one of favorite flower in bloom meaning hydrangeas is on this chip & dip platter 💜 The bumble bee 🐝 is buzzing and working really hard on the rhododendron bush in my front yard. 👍

Back in January, I received the announcement of the store closure of Mudflat Gallery in Porter Square. The gallery is officially closed as of yesterday 4/25/2026, after 27 years.

Today, the shelve has been cleared, the name tag got peeled off.

The Mudflat Gallery was my first “physical location” to sell my pottery. The shop closure had a deep impact on my journey.

About 20 years ago, a young woman with her ceramic dream walked pass the gallery, she was amazed with all the pots she saw on display, she made her pledge that one day she will become one of the artists selling her own pottery in the gallery. She did it! In 2019, her works were on display facing the parking lot, with the intention of her happy squirrels, bunnies kitties “looking out the window,” a smile is what she wants to see 😊

Thank you Mudflat Gallery, for having June Lee being part of this great era. This place holds a special meaning to me. 🥲

Moving on, one thing that I am certain is that I will continue to create, keep my art journey going! Maybe more commission works, maybe more teachings… I can only say “life is like a box of chocolates!” 🍫

Lastly, please give some support to all my colleagues - follow them 🙏⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
and many more from the Mudflat Gallery!
