Maybe I'm missing something, but when did "delivery" start meaning "left by the curb"?

The house is right there. The front door is right there. Yet somehow the entire order got dropped off at the edge of the street like it's a community pickup station.

Now I still have to carry cases of water, groceries, paper products, and everything else all the way back to the house myself.

At that point, what exactly am I paying a delivery fee for?

The part that really gets me is that anyone walking by could have helped themselves to whatever they wanted before I even noticed it was there.

I understand if there are safety concerns, locked gates, aggressive dogs, or other obstacles. But when the path to the front door is completely open, leaving everything at the curb just feels lazy.

Am I being unreasonable, or would you be annoyed if your "delivery" ended at the street instead of your front door?

McDonald’s just made it clear: the Kids Meal is for kids, not adults looking for a cheaper lunch. 👀

Some people are saying, “If I’m paying for it, why should it matter who eats it?” Others argue that adults ordering Kids Meals is exactly why restaurants keep adding restrictions and raising prices.

But honestly, if regular meal portions keep getting bigger and more expensive, what's wrong with wanting a smaller, more affordable option?

Not everyone wants a giant burger, large fries, and a soda the size of a fish tank. 🍟😂

So what's your take?

Should adults be allowed to order Kids Meals if that's all they want to eat, or is McDonald’s right to draw the line?

Maybe I'm being petty, but this annoyed me more than it probably should have.

I got a package delivered today, and instead of using the sidewalk or driveway, the UPS driver just walked straight across my lawn to get to the front door.

I know some people are going to say, "It's just grass."

And honestly, if it happened once, I probably wouldn't care.

The problem is that it keeps happening. There's already a worn path through part of the yard from people cutting across it, and I spend a lot of time trying to keep the lawn looking decent.

What gets me is that there was a perfectly good sidewalk and driveway right there. Using either one would have added maybe a few seconds to the trip.

I appreciate the delivery, and I'm not trying to make anyone's job harder. But when you're walking across someone else's property every day, isn't using the actual walkway just common courtesy?

Am I overreacting, or would it bother you too if delivery drivers kept treating your yard like a shortcut? 🤔

The food arrived.

At first, I was relieved.

Then I realized it had been placed directly against the door.

The only way to get outside was to push the door open... which would've knocked over the bags and probably ruined the entire order.

I just stood there staring at it for a second, wondering what the plan was supposed to be.

Thankfully, everything worked out in the end, but it definitely turned a simple delivery into an unexpected challenge.

Every time I leave Walmart, I end up noticing something.

Today it was a mobility scooter sitting out in the parking lot next to a pile of shopping carts. Maybe there's a perfectly reasonable explanation, but it definitely caught my attention.

Those scooters are there for customers who need them, so seeing one left outside made me wonder how often this happens. The carts were also scattered around the area, which just made the whole parking lot feel more chaotic than it needed to be.

I know retail employees have a lot on their plates, and customers don't always return carts where they're supposed to. Still, it would be nice to see things a little more organized.

Am I overreacting, or does anyone else notice stuff like this when they're leaving the store?

Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought "as-is" meant exactly that.

Yesterday I sold a 21-year-old truck for $3,700. It had a blown head gasket, which the buyer knew about before handing over the money. We completed a bill of sale stating the truck was sold as-is, I signed over the title, filed the release of liability, and considered the deal done.

Fast forward to today.

The buyer calls saying the truck won't go into four-wheel drive and that it's going to cost too much to fix. A little while later, he sends a message saying he's bringing it back.

Bringing it back?

This isn't a new vehicle from a dealership. It's a 21-year-old truck with known issues that was sold as-is.

I don't want an argument, and I definitely don't want someone showing up angry at my house, but I'm struggling to understand why this is suddenly my problem again.

How would you handle this?
