More prep work for Art Walk Night.
Setting up studios, and the mounting of Spectrum on the wall next to my door. It is amazing that it just fits that wall.

So looking forward to people enjoying the Art Walk tomorrow evening from 5 until 8.

Getting ready for Friday's Art Walk with work by Kevin Gransbery.

The work as it first comes in the storefront was placed in front of the tables.

I decided to turn the back half of the storefront into a Gallery space for this show.

Life would be different with a gallery rail. But you know we are just starting out, and we have to start somewhere.

I would love to have some lighting too. But I am impressed with the difference that hanging the works together makes.

I accomplished my goal of getting the work ready to hang and actually hanging it.

Tomorrow is the day for the labels!

We are looking forward to setting up for the Art Walk, are you planning on coming to see what we are up to? I hope so.

I need a few volunteers for Friday evening's art walk. You don't need to be an artist, we need help with guiding visitors from the front door to the second floor and back again. You can volunteer for a short or long period of time. Art Walk hours are from 5pm to 8pm. If you are interested in our programming/and membership, volunteer hours count towards the fees we charge for services.
If you have time during the day and want to help me with set up, same arrangements will be used to compensate you for your time and effort.
Message me, or if you have my number call, better yet, just stop in at 22 W. Park St.

Studio Update:
The painting is finished in the second floor. Just waiting for the newly painted trim to be installed on our new door.

I got a delivery of new artwork to be featured for the Art Walk on Friday from the artist Kevin Gransbery. I will be hanging this work this week in the storefront. If you want a close up look at the work, join us during the Art Walk on Friday evening.

Other photos show the infilling of inventory in the storefront, I was able to hang some of my weavings today. It is starting to look like a store.

I don't know if there are spare floor easels available in Butte, if so, let me know, I would love to borrow some. My gallery rails have not yet been installed.

Getting excited for the next art walk on Friday.
I'll need some volunteer tour guides for the second floor.
I'll ask if there are volunteers to help with the snack prep.

One task that is still waiting is for someone to pick up the melamine that is suitable for painting and the MDF lumber. Would love to have the room cleaned out by Friday if possible. If interested in helping out, please message me.

Friday's studio update:
We finally have the back door for the studio. No more open hallway. This door is helpful for us to ensure that little ones are safe in the studios and not able to run around in the building. It makes the studio space a bit more private.

We have also begun our painting process. Not every wall will be painted, but enough to make the place feel more welcoming and less institutional.

I also snagged a chair for my office. It is delightful. I can get my feet up after I have been standing too long. It is a well used green leather reclining chair found Sky Thrift Store. Want to give a shout out to the owner who has been terrific to deal with. Helpful on the mailboxes and super at helping me find missing parts and pieces.

I also found matching counter top for the cabinets we want to use for the coffee/tea/fridge area. What I need is someone who can router a couple of holes in the bottom to match the existing dowels to secure the top on the cabinet.

We worked today to place the rest of the cabinets from the classroom. I am happy to report we have a fabric cutting table, a bookcase, and storage in each of the studios.

We have storage in the classroom area as well. I have been asking around to find a conference table and chairs for the meeting room. Does anyone have a spare projector?

Looking for a whiteboard and a chalkboard for the Gallery area, we want to post the schedule and opportunities to participate in the studios.

I would also like to give a thank you shout out to the staff at . It has been great building a new business with you. The personal service you offer has been instrumental in helping to bring this vision for our creative community into reality in a short time frame. Your staff is attentive to details, and committed to providing great customer service.

If anyone is able to help with the requests we have here, please use the message button in this post.
