Wilmington… this one means something special.

Catching Red is back for Memorial Day Weekend at on Sunday, May 24 from 6PM–9PM. Mike Gangi & Wes Sayer together again overlooking the Cape Fear River in the city where a lot of this story started.

If you’ve never been to Cloud 9, it’s one of the best rooftop hangs in Wilmington — sitting on top of the Embassy Suites downtown with unreal sunset views over the river, the Battleship North Carolina, the harbor, and the whole downtown skyline. Craft cocktails, local beer, rooftop energy, live music, and one of the few spots in town that actually feels like summer before summer officially starts.

We’re bringing the full Catching Red spirit to this one. Big singalongs, big harmonies, stories, old favorites, deep cuts, and a few surprises mixed in. If you were around for the early days in Wilmington, you already know. If you weren’t… this is the night to finally see what everybody keeps talking about.

I’ll be playing live at Lonerider Brewery in Wake Forest on Sunday, May 17th from 2PM–5PM as part of Horseshoes for Hope hosted by FYT – Raleigh. Live music, food truck, raffles, games, a golden horseshoe contest, and Farrah Fawcett the Mini Horse!

Most importantly, it supports a really great cause benefiting young adults through Triangle Equine Assisted Learning.

Would love to see some familiar faces out there for a fun spring afternoon. Bring friends, grab a beer, and come hang out!!

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect. I was recently laid off from my full-time career, and like a lot of hard moments in life, it’s forced me to take a step inward and really look at where I am, what matters most, and how I want to move forward.

Music has always been one of the great constants in my life, and right now I’m leaning into it with real purpose.

I also want to acknowledge something honestly: there have been times in the past where I didn’t always carry myself as professionally as I should have, and I know that may have affected how some people viewed me. That’s mine to own. What matters now is how I move forward.

I’m focused, grateful, and committed to showing up the right way — prepared, dependable, respectful, and fully invested in creating great experiences wherever I play.

To everyone who has supported me, booked me, played alongside me, or simply encouraged me over the years — thank you. I don’t take it lightly. I’m excited about what’s ahead, and I’m looking forward to earning every opportunity that comes next.

Call me if you’re ready to book the new and improved version of me. It’ll be great. See you out there soon.
