Between band, chorus, clogging, jazz, strings, guitar, and other small musical ensembles, he has taught hundreds of people and touched thousands of lives in our community. We would like to raise money to get him a nice retirement gift that shows our appreciation for all that he has done. We would like to present this gift to him at his final concert at MHHS, on MAY 3rd, along with a scrapbook book
of memories (created from your posts & photos on this site) from former students and community members. We would also like as many alumni as possible to be there! We have a paypal account set up for his retirement fund, so you can click on the website link under this description to donate directly using your credit card, or if you would like to send a check, please write it out to Lisa Mauney (for: Babb Retirement). We have an account set up just for this retirement fund, but we could not put it in his name since it's going to be a surprise! Also, spread the word! Although we want to keep it a secret from him, we need to find as many of his former students as possible! Finally, if you would like to pull out your old instrument, we are going to perform one piece with his current students. Heather Babb is going to figure out which piece we can play with them, and then she will e-mail all participants a copy of their part to prepare before the concert. It will be quite a surprise to him when we all go up on stage to join them for that piece! If you would like to participate, please e-mail Heather at [email protected] and tell her what instrument you play & if you have access to one. She will e-mail your part when she gets it! We need your help! You can help in one, two, three, or four ways: donate, share memories &/or pictures, spread the word, and come &/or play in his last concert!
