🐾 Grayhound Band is BACK! 🐾

Summer is winding down, which means it’s time to blow the cobwebs out of your instruments, scrape the dust off your valves, and get ready to march! 🎷🥁

Our student leaders are pumped, and we are ready to debut our epic new show, "Shadows"! 👥✨

📅 Band Camp: August 3–7
⏰ 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Lunch around 11:00 AM)
📍 BHS Practice Field & Music Dept

🎓 Graduation Band Information – This Saturday! 🎶

Band members should report to the band room by 5:30 PM. We will depart for Bracewell Stadium at 5:45 PM.

If you choose not to ride the bus, please arrive at Bracewell by 6:00 PM. We expect to begin performing around 6:15 PM.

Following the ceremony, everyone is expected to help rack the stands and load equipment back onto the trailer (assuming it is brought down like last year).

🚌 Bus drop-off: Market Street
🚌 Bus pick-up: Division Street near Dollar General
⏰ Approximate departure from Bracewell Stadium: 8:25 PM

Dress is nice casual.

Congratulations to our new Drum Major, Emerson McKee!

Both Emerson and Grace did an outstanding job throughout the audition process and represented our program extremely well. Preparing for drum major auditions requires many hours outside of school working on conducting, commands, leadership skills, and marching fundamentals, and both candidates demonstrated tremendous dedication and growth.

The drum majors and I are proud of the hard work, commitment, and professionalism shown by both students, and we are excited to see their leadership continue to shape the band program.

Looking forward to a fantastic marching season this August!
