All of us at Bloch Performing Arts are so excited to announce the 2026 Spring Recital “Spring
Serenade” happening this Friday, May 22nd at 7 pm at Park Avenue Congregational Church in
Arlington! (50 Paul Revere Rd, Arlington, MA 02476)

We are so proud of the work our students have done throughout the season and can’t wait to
showcase their talents in this year’s Spring Serenade!
Recital Schedule:

🎉Faculty announcement! 🎉

Bloch Performing Arts is so excited to share two faculty announcements!

We are thrilled to announce that Bahar Soyöz has joined us as our new Piano teacher at Bloch Performing Arts! Being an artist from Türkiye, Bahar Soyöz came to Boston for pursuing her passion in collaborative music as a Fulbright scholar. She performs solo and chamber music in the New England area, teaches piano at the South Shore Conservatory where she also serves as Piano Department Chair. At her alma mater Longy School of Music, she works as an accompanist where she performs with graduate students.

Raphael Mayer (previously known as the teacher of the Mayer Piano Studio) has now transitioned into a new role as teacher of Music Production, Mayer Music Production! We are so excited to include this new curriculum at Bloch Performing Arts! .mayer

Bahar and Raphael currently have openings for both in person and online private lessons in Piano and Music Production! Please reach out to us at mailto:[email protected] if you are interested in scheduling your first lessons with Bahar or Raphael.

Looking to continue your music education over the summer? Bloch Performing Arts is offering Summer Lessons!🎶

Summer lessons are arranged with general scheduling as opposed to subscription registration, so that students’ and teachers’ schedules can be flexible!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to our 2026 It’s a BLOCH PARTY Open House, our student and faculty performers, Somerville Music Spaces for having us, The Modern Events Co. for the amazing photo booth, and to everyone who helped make this event a huge success! 🎭🎶

We were so happy to welcome current students, prospective students, alumni, and families to Somerville Music Spaces this past Sunday💕 We all engaged in multiple activities including free demo lessons with faculty, touring the spaces, getting to know faculty and student ambassadors, enjoying a concert of BPA students and faculty, photo booth fun, and free snacks and pizza! We hope that you have been staying warm and safe during this cold winter season ❄️ As we look forward to the spring, we are so excited to remind you of our Open House “It’s a BLOCH PARTY!” happening on Sunday, March 15th from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm ! (1060 Broadway C101B, Somerville, MA 02144.)

This free event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with BPA students, faculty and staff, alumni, prospective students, and our families! What you can expect at the Open House is as follows:

• Learning more about BPA’s offerings and how to get involved
