May is ! Every year it stands an an opportunity to exalt those who struggle with mental health challenges, our community supports that help us thrive, and the mechanisms we have for support.

This month we want to do our part by offering a few check in questions and resources, but we also have a request:

Make a plan! Like our physical health, taking care of our mental health can be easier if we have an understanding of our options before things go left. We encourage you to make a plan and we’ll be doing the same 💚

Grimm’s Domain wouldn’t be who we are without all members of our community being able to safely and happily engage. Through our organizational commitment and working with places like BBCO, we’re centering inclusivity in diverse programming. See you there!

Join us in celebrating the 63rd Sierra Leone Independence day! April 27, 2024 marks the birth of one of the worlds most diverse nations with over 16 major ethnic groups and even more languages.

Our fearless founder, GD President Grimm Noir, is proud of their Mandinke Kamara heritage and Krio language as a second generation Sierra Leonean American.

Through the Krio language, the tapestry of influences on the nation come alive. Though the creole has Portuguese and French influences and an English base, the language formed through a cultural blend of freed African-Americans, Afro-Carribbeans, and Black Nova Scotians.

This Day, Grimm’s Domain is celebrating right along side you!
