We have finished our negotiations with the big guy in the North Pole and are excited to announce the following events with Santa and the members of BVFRD:

Pancakes with Santa will be on Saturday, December 10 from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. in our Banquet Hall. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, fruit, coffee, hot chocolate, and juice. Purchase your tickets by December 3 and save $2 on each adult ticket. Visit our Pancakes with Santa page for more details and to purchase tickets.

Santa Runs will take place between 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on the following dates: Saturday, December 3; Sunday, December 4; Sunday, December 11; Saturday, December 17; Sunday, December 18.

We will also be hosting two special Meet & Greets with Santa and his merry elves in our Banquet Hall at the fire station from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. on Wednesday, December 7 and Wednesday, December 14.

FIRE PREVENTION OPEN HOUSE NEWS!!! We are happy to announce that we will once again be having an IN-PERSON Open House.

Please join on Saturday, October 15 from 10am – 4pm for a fun-filled day of fire prevention education, information, and demonstrations. We will have a fire engine driving simulator where the kids, or those of you that are kids at heart, can sit in the driver’s seat of the engine and "drive" to a call.

We will have a kids firefighter obstacle course where they put on protective gear, climb through tunnels, up a ladder to save a kitten, and then put a "fire" out.

We are adding Hands-Only CPR to our activities this year and we’ll have the Burke Lions Club onsite selling lunch.

And of course, we'll have the ever so popular Sparky the Fire Dog walking around, free popcorn, and many other fun activities! Stay tuned for more information.

The Burke Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department has decided to end its Bingo program. We would like to thank all of those who came out to support us over the years. We will miss you all and hope to see you again at some point.

Burke Volunteer Fire & Rescue Bingo has decided to remain closed until further notice. We will update everyone once we have decided to reopen. Thank you for your patience and please stay safe.

*** UPDATE for 3.18.2020 ***

After careful consideration and discussing with the rest of Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Departments, we have decided to close March 18th. We will reevaluate after that and try to decide when to reopen.

Burke Bingo is carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are taking all precautions to keep our facility clean and safe for our patrons and volunteers. Should we decide to close, we will post updates here and our hotline at 703-869-0860. So please check back. Thank you and be safe out there.

After listening to the many suggestions tonight, we have decided to remove the minimum paper purchase in order to buy a computer. You will still need to purchase your paper and your computer separately. There just will be no minimum.

We will be making a few changes to our Bingo sessions starting January 8th. Some of those include:

1. We will be adding a second Pull Tab Progressive game to be played along with our Crank-it-up.

2. Paper will not be included with computer packages any longer. Like everywhere else, paper will need to be purchased separately.

Starting April 3rd, the Pick 7 at Burke Bingo will become a Progressive Pick 7.

We will provide a scan tron sheet (pictured here) for you to use like you would filling out your lottery numbers. Or you can have the computer pick your numbers as an easy pick.
