Fireball Speedway

Fireball Speedway The dirt track will be small 1/5-mile banked clay oval. We will have racing classes ranging from go carts to 5/8 scale modifieds called modlites.

Our involvement and support will not be limited to the track! We will include raising funds for local first responders and the Volunteer Fire Department. We intend to host other events like Trade Day, Swap Meets, Car Shows, and other special events. We will support local city festivals as well as involving local schools and area organizations for fundraisers and competitions. For additional inform

We’ve had to contact a different attorney, the last one just didn’t pan out. We hope to have a meeting next week or possibly the week after.
We are just as anxious as everyone but are making sure everything is handled correctly legally.

We are happy to say that we gathered for a meeting this past week and are now taking the next steps forward to making a dream a reality and having a nice racing facility in our area to race at. We hope to get a lot of things handled in the next coming weeks so we can announce the new name and the new location, we are currently looking at location being in Jasper County or neighboring County.
Stay tuned and please be patient with us as we get all legal matters handled. 🏁
Also planning on having a Go-Kart track in the middle.

That will have a track to support the big cars also. We will try to keep everyone updated.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.

We have decided to not put track at proposed location on Cr716 due to neighbors feedback and concerns.
We are actively looking for other locations in area. The team is excited at response of local people and community support,
wanting to have a dirt racing facility in this area. We will continue to update page as Fireball Speedway becomes a reality.
Regards
Fireball Speedway

Thanks for your responses, concerns, support and questions.
We didn’t have a good way to contact everyone on CR 716 about this proposed location, so
this page for Fireball Speedway was created, not to blind side anyone but to create an open discussion.
First, the location on CR 716 is proposed location that is being considered, due to the owner being one of the investors.
We are actively looking at other possible locations also, but first we needed to get local community support for a track no matter the location.
To answer some of the concerns of the neighbors of this proposed location on CR716.
Frist, we have no plans of selling alcohol or beer.
Operation of the track will be two weekends a month, gates will open at 4pm racing starts at
6:30pm till 10:pm with a 10:30pm races over shutdown curfew.
Track will be for racing go kart to modified lites (5/8 scale size cars)
Mufflers will be required at 90dbel level on all racing karts or cars.
The layout at this location or any other we look at; noise and lighting design that is best for the surrounding area.
Any other type of events would be put under the same time curfew and other restrictions.
We can’t tell you or predict what effect that this location will have on property values, the only visual change
on the road frontage would be entry gate to track. We don’t plan to putting in a second-rate facility. It will be an asset to the community.
We have heard of some concerns with hunting clubs in the area. These would apply anywhere in the county.
Traffic would increase on days of the events on CR716, we as operators of the track would have to ask for support from county law enforcement and road maintenance. We absolutely want to be good neighbors, and help the community in any way possible.
Thanks again for your feedback, positive and negative. The feedback is exactly what this page was meant for. Rest assured we will keep this page updated on any changes and/or any movement forward.

Thanks,
Fireball Speedway

The Fireball Speedway development team is a group of individuals that has personal experience with and have raced cars at many different levels and locations nationwide. We want to open a facility that is world class and second to none. A local track that is family oriented and encourages the support of local communities, youth, adults as well as fans of the dirt track racing community! We would like to open a family-oriented dirt track racing facility on Reese Road.

The development area is a 26-acre plot bordered by timber company property on two sides, in Buna, Texas. We are in the planning phase for this venue and want to keep our neighbors informed, and answer any questions that we can. It will be a first-class facility and a local attraction for great Saturday night family entertainment.
