A quartet of views from my morning walk, thinking about the fact that in one week from today, I will be heading out on a five date tour that starts in Central PA, and ends in MA.

Looking forward to the shows, returning to a few of my favorite venues, and making my first appearances at the ones that bookend my travels. In the instances where advance ticket sales or RSVP options are available - please help the venues and performing artists know what to expect by purchasing tickets in advance, or notifying house concert hosts of your plans to attend!

All of the info for these upcoming shows is available on my website - link in the first comment. ❤️

A bit of rain in spots on the drive down to Ellicottville, but I got my killer parking spot in front, and it's good to see Ron and Mari here with their son and grandkids celebrating a birthday.

All set up and ready to go - I even dragged out the merch case! (Because you can't sell stuff or expect people to sign up for your email list if it's in the car!)

A quick message for any of my friends residing in Binghamton, Ithaca, Elmira, Cortland ... to mark your calendars.

I received an email last night confirming a show on September 19th at Cranberry Coffeehouse in Binghamton, NY to open their 2026 season. I will be filling in for Doug Wilcox, who unfortunately needed to cancel the date, but was kind enough to recommend me for the job! (I hope I don't disappoint anyone 😉)

I'm really looking forward to this opportunity, since I have been in contact with the venue previously, and wasn't going to be considered for a slot until late 2027, early 2028.

Cranberry Coffeehouse concerts are hosted at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation Church, 183 Riverside Dr., Binghamton. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 7:00 pm. Admission is $15 per person (free for children under 14 with accompanying adult)

I hope that my friends in the area can make it out, and help kick off the new season in fine form!

In two short weeks from today, I will be taking the show on the road for five consecutive days, starting in Central PA, heading to the Hudson Valley Region, and then onward to Massachusetts for a pair of dates (and a short visit with my brother and his wife :) ).

Ticket link for 9/2, RSVP for 9/6 house concert date, in the first comment. Info regarding other shows available on my website (link is also in the comment).

I have a great deal of gratitude to anyone who makes the decision to buy tickets in advance, and plans to attend a show ahead of time, so that I as the performing artist, and the venue presenting my show have a good idea of what to expect. Thank you! I hope to see you at one of these dates!!!!

Soundcheck is a relatively easy process for me; five to ten minutes tops. But I do like to run through a complete song if there's time, just to feel out the room, even if it's one I've played a bunch of times. Now it's the fun part; whiling away 90 minutes until show, which usually consists of vocal warmup and running through a couple of songs.

I read somewhere recently, that music is such an important part of our lives due to the fact that we're born with a heartbeat. That pulse, that rhythm is already there at birth. To expand upon that idea, I'd like to think that we compose the melody and lyrics by the way we live our lives. I think being a musician has helped in composing a well-lived journey so far.

Looking forward to a great set. Doors at 7, show at 8. Come on down and be a part of the collective heartbeat of a live music show...
