May 6, 2026 This year’s pink show is almost over… There are a few bright pink Kwanzan trees 🌳 in bloom. The garden is still looking colorful. A reminder, don’t pick the flowers🌸. There were approximately 10 broken branches of cherry blossoms below just one tree. Please. Please. Please. Let the trees grow. (If anyone has ideas to help teach this better, we are listening.)

April 30, 2026 The flamboyant Kwanzan trees and the neighboring majestic Mt. Fuji trees are still in bloom… if you still haven’t had a chance to take your photos at the Japanese garden. (Two trees in the garden have branches dangling, or detached. Just a reminder, please don’t touch the trees. )

A huge Thank You to McKinley High School and Elmwood Village Charter School for all their support during this year’s festival. Their energetic and dedicated students and teachers volunteered throughout the weekend and the festival was better because of it. (A Five Star Weekend of service to the community ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

We are looking forward to seeing you from 11- 3pm today! If it's your first time, the Festival is located in a residential neighborhood, so parking is always going to be a challenge. We have access to a Buffalo State/ Richardson Complex parking lot across the street (it's a pleasant walk back to the garden- see the website for map.) The AKG side of Hoyt Lake has neighborhood parking too. It's a challenge, we know. Please wear your walking shoes and add a walk to the day. Make a plan before you come because you won't want to drive down Nottingham looking for parking. Thank you VERY much for your patience and your love of Spring!
