From Renaissance art to today’s anime (like Hazbin Hotel) or AI creations circulating on social media, the “wheel within the wheel” motif continues to be reimagined by artists. Local longtime visual communicator Christian D. Lindner’s MiA installation is the latest to reinterpret the wheel dynamic. Lindner draws inspiration from scripture and the latest accounts of UFO’s, to create a large-scale installation based on Ezekiel’s vision, in what many consider one of the most unusual accounts ever written, referred to as the “Ophanim. In that vision, “wheels, wings and eyes” bear a watchful presence in the heavens.

Facing northwest, when viewed from land toward the water—you’ll see a gyroscope moving in the wind. Angel wings, created and sent from Ukraine, will hold your attention.
