It's no joke — Clayton Pond is an absolute master at drawing and composing a scene. These works on paper from his Quarry series show him working out a composition before it becomes a painting, and often before that painting becomes a print or serigraph. Getting to see all three stages in one room is a rare privilege. Reason enough to get yourself to UB Anderson Gallery before Clayton Pond: A Retrospective closes July 31!

🎹 Meet one of our performers for ANDERSON INSIDE OUT!

Adam Beiter is a composer, musician, and teacher from Hamburg, NY whose work draws on contemporary classical, folk, jazz, and musical theatre — always with an ear for community and connection.

Adam has been composing since he was 10 years old, and has since written for ensembles ranging from chamber groups to choir, scored award-winning short films, and this summer premieres a new work at a contemporary music festival in Slovenia. He's currently studying Music Education and Composition at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music — and we're thrilled to have him performing right here at UB Anderson Gallery.

Martha Jackson in Paris, Bits by Bits, the First-Year MFA Exhibition, and Robert Creeley: Active Complement sparked conversation, welcomed class visits, and offered students a place to slow down and recharge. This spring, our program series Echo[es] grew into its own exhibition — one of our favorite surprises of the year.⁠

We welcomed nearly 5,000 visitors over the course of the school year, and we loved every single one. 💙⁠

The gallery reopens in Fall 2026 with a whole new slate of exhibitions. Stay tuned — there's a lot to look forward to! Meanwhile, stop by UB Anderson Gallery, where we're open for most of the summer.

Join us for a closing gathering for Echo[es]: Traces in a Grid, a season-long collaborative installation developed through lectures, workshops, and a participatory postal exchange led by poet and artist Diego Espíritu.

Come view the completed installation—assembled from works by workshop participants and contributors from around the globe—and celebrate the exchange of ideas, images, and echoes that brought it to life. All are welcome, including participating artists and the public.
