2007 - Alexa & Edreys age 33 with two children (6&3 years old). A Black owned Stationary boutique and Art Gallery with community space where open mics were held titled “Poetik High”.

Sound familiar? We are still doing the same work we started over 20 years ago. Our children are doing the work we envisioned for them.

Eat Off Art is a continuation of our legacy, a visual of betting on ourselves and a testament to our faith and to the ancestors and elders whose shoulders we stand on.

Alexa and I support each other in all that we do and all that we are involved in, whether collectively or individually. As a collective, we are able to focus our attention on the dot in the center of the circle together, and we are completely confident that when we approach things together, that we will be successful. So the things that drive us in business are our belief, trust and confidence in each other and our will to win.
Our two children are a daily inspiration. We love the fact that they call Gallery 51, their gallery. We enjoy making the lasting impression on them that when they come of age, they should also attempt to pursue a vision, dream or goal. Lastly, we feel that we are a symbol of light and hope for those who are looking for strength and courage to step outside of their comfort zone. We get a great deal of satisfaction from helping people take steps to their goals, and we do all that we possibly can to be positive examples for children and adults alike in our community.

— thus far, 8 WonderFULL Soul Sessions have graced our space, and blessed our community with so many beautiful moments. these sessions bloomed from idea and wishful thinking into proof of concept, validity and viability. artistic freedom through trusted curation, rich engagement and deep-felt performance has been essential to our community-building. together we discover and recover joy and its value in our individual and collective lives.
