Wow! Thank you to our volunteers for turning out today! About 820 banners up in three hours. We appreciate TKS and the City of Buckhannon for the use of lifts and Pop's Furniture for the water. We also appreciate the support of the American Legion and VFW and auxiliary volunteers as well as support all the way from Elkins via the Elkins Mountain School.
This project started out with about 75 Walk of Valor banners and we are now up to over 800. It is too much for Create Buckhannon to handle alone and community support is vital to this effort getting done every year.
The banners will remain up through Veterans Day. Want a banner for 2027? Email [email protected].
