Around 800 Walk of Valor banners are down and safely stored through the winter. Thank you to our volunteers. Again, this project has grown too big for Create Buckhannon and would not happen without community support. Today, we were gifted with several members of the WVWC Track & Field team who were a huge help!

Thanks also to the City of Buckhannon Street Department (Andew Loudin) and TKS who provided lifts. Community volunteers: CJ Rylands, Steve Oldaker, Stan Rexroad, Amanda Hayes, Jane White, Tim Williams, Michelle Jack, Alan Hager, Jessica Vincent and, of course, the WVWC Track & Field team!

Send the page a message for an application for 2026.

Create Buckhannon would like to wish Buck Edwards well as he moves on to a beautiful new chapter. Buck’s leadership and volunteerism have been instrumental in many of Create Buckhannon’s projects. And his impact in this community and beyond is immensely appreciated. We will miss you a lot!

Don’t worry, we still plan to serve up chicken dinners during the 2026 season of Festival Fridays. Let us know when you come back to visit, Buck, so we can save a meal for you!
