Earlier this year, my father passed away. I'm currently processing the tremendous sense of loss this has left me with.

I wrote a book in honor of my father. I wrote it for a few personal reasons, but mostly so that those that knew him would have something to remember him by in the long term, and perhaps something to learn from. I was going to take the listing down off of Amazon the second I got my author copies to send out. My cousin encouraged me to leave it up as there might be those out there who need some of the wisdom he passed onto me.

Here is a link for the book Carlos-isms: The Wit and Wisdom of MCJ.

"What would you do if you couldn't fail?" has been a guiding question that I have held closely for years.

It is a call to action, sparking inside of us the courage to not only dream bigger, but to dream as large as possible. To ask ourselves what we truly would want if we were not constrained by what we believe is possible. Most importantly, it asks us who we want to be, if we believe that who we are is rooted in the life we lead today.

What is the answer for you?

Some years back, my friend Will DeNatale painted this larger than life portrait of me. It's the first time anyone has painted me, to the best of my recollection.

I was looking at the cubbies that we have to hold my son's toys and books and was struck with a realization! I rapidly reorganized my library. What do you think about it?

I'm finally turning the first book I published (Silver Bullets [2019]) into software that will provide LLM assistance to make problem solving a little bit smoother and less effortful.

This is a workbook based on the work done on the Theory of Constraints by Elyahu Goldratt and others. It is the first iteration of a companion to the Theory of Constraints Handbook, as the handbook provides instructions but limited scaffolding for executing them.

Finally - A Goal-Setting Book for People Who Think in Pictures

If you're a visual thinker, you've probably noticed that most productivity advice doesn't work for your brain. All those linear to-do lists and word-heavy systems? Not built for someone who thinks in diagrams, flows, and configurations.
Seeing Things Through is different.

I use Lego blocks and pizza (seriously) to explain goal-setting as navigating probability space—different configurations of the same pieces leading to different outcomes. It's systems thinking made visual.

You'll actually learn:

-How to frame goals as "end-states" instead of vague hopes
-Why constraints aren't roadblocks—they're just info about routes that won't work
-Task analysis that works for brains that think in pictures

Light tone, genuinely funny, packed with visuals. Made for neurodivergent folks and visual thinkers who've been trying to force their brains into the wrong systems.

If productivity advice always felt like it was written for someone else's brain—this one's for you.

Seeing Things Through is available now.
