Sarah Lyons and a place both wonderful and strange are bringing The Enya Party, the wildly received night they originated in Brooklyn, to Unicorn Bar in Kingston for one night, Nov 27. 9 pm, $10, tickets in bio.

From her time in Clannad to now, Enya has been and remains one of the biggest-selling, most popular and deeply formative figures in modern pop music. From the hazy, smudged dewdrops of Addison Rae to , whimsigoth and the Gone Girl soundtrack to classic trance and the current popularity of ambient rave, Enya’s mystical, blissed-out take on dark, ethereal and globe-trotting sounds can be traced to nearly everything we’re dancing to right now.

You can expect Enya and Enya remixes, as well as Enya-inspired sounds and sounds that preceded Enya by the likes of Caroline Polachek, Cocteau Twins, (early era) Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, Yeule, Ray Of Light-Era Madonna, and more, with surprises around every corner.

Unfortunately due to some unforeseen circumstances, GUHTS won’t be able to play Aug 21. 🖤🖤 to them and hopefully we’ll join them soon.

Mama Doom F You Tammy! and B.A Miale are all still joining us at The Avalon Lounge Friday, and it’s still gonna get dark and weird really fast.

It’s in the trees, it’s coming.

A night of deeply dark, deeply felt and really loud (even when it’s soft) sounds, next week, for our first actual band appearance upstate (Russ’s current and Laura’s old stomping grounds) at Avalon Lounge in Catskill, NY. Fri Aug 21, 8pm real time for doors.

We’re opening a night with our old old friends F You Tammy! and our new friends Mama Doom and GUHTS, bands we love and are thrilled to get to see AND share the stage with.

AND! after seeing B.A Miale work magic around town, we had to ask for similar visual magic at this show. A feast for the senses.

This is the last a place both wonderful and strange show this year so let’s make it loud, dark, cathartic. Lots of feelings to feel.
