Finally finished the bodi odie odie section of the book teaching me how to draw and we’ve moved on clothing. Clothing is tough af, but when I remember gravity exists and that’s where the folds be at, it becomes easier. However, I can already see that this is going to take a while to improve at.

One of the reasons I’m learning to draw is because I’m trying to create a comic/manga series. I actually got a lot fleshed out and what’s really stopping me is my technical skill. This is one of my first times actually trying to work on my main character. I was trying to redraw some of my fav anime characters, but more in my style. The idea is to try and capture certain aspects of my favorite characters and combine them in my style. The only thing is I don’t really have a style yet. I’m trying to draw upon soul eater and fire force cus that’s my fav style. But at the same time, I’m tryna add some other aspects to make it more unique and my own.

You might think no one poses like this, but I do. Every morning I pose just like this. At this point it’s completely ritualistic. I don’t even think I could stop if I wanted to.

I drew this the day these just amazing legs the day after Thanksgiving. There was a good 6 weeks in between those awful arms and these beautiful legs. I literally didn’t draw once during that 6 weeks period. You can really do some crazy s**t just by telling yourself you can. Although I wasn’t actually practicing I still told myself I was a solid artist, and was able to produce solid results.

I barely remember drawing these Ana De Arms… These were definitely the first sketches I did after I moved. Honestly, I think the majority of these arms are pretty bad. I wanna say I was a little drunk when I sketched these, but I don’t remember, so that probably means I was pretty damn drunk.

It really feels like it’s months since I last posted, but it’s only been like 6-7 weeks. The reason for this hiatus kaiyote is because I moved into a studio in October and since it’s the end of the year my clients at work have been going crazy. But, the reason I took this break was so that I could find a place to live, which I did. During these 6-7 weeks of moving, working and no sketching, I somehow learned how to practice in my mind. I’ve read a few books that touched upon how to use your imagination to practice s**t, mainly golf, but it worked for this too. What’s interesting is that this back and torso was weeks ago, and it was right before I took my break. This sketch is the last one I made before moving. The sketches I’ll be posting in the next few days are after I moved. But, this is basically a long explanation to say I’m posting again.

As I continued to learn to draw the female form it was finally time to draw da b***s, or breasts. For my the first time drawing these, it went surprisingly well. Aside from the the top right, those b***s are a lil wonky.  .
