This is a summer roundup post for a summer that was largely gobbled up by the business of moving, but a summer in which on my third attempt to write “The Years the Wild Locust Ate” the lyrics came out triumphant and meaningful and I consider this the “real” version which I will set to music. For a guy who cannot doodle a face without it reflecting his current inner state, this is no small thing. This is a caption being written by a very tired man who knows that by the time he is recovered from the coffee and the all-nighter and the transition, it will be autumn. See you on the other end of hibernation.
