I love recording with John at the Bunker, I love the smiling musicians who show up to record, and I love hearing them bring into a lush musical reality some idea I worked at for a long time, all alone, wondering if all these fragments could ever come together.

Back at my first love, in a new format.

Alright, here’s what happened. I was working on this post for .kurt — the first one in the style I had envisioned since creating the account. But then my software broke, because 2012 MacBook Pro, and I’ll have to start over in a new and unfamiliar program.

These outlets are driven by a passion for discovering and sharing new music, and they are some of the few allies smaller artists have in getting our music in front of new ears. I’d also like to high-five and applaud for the fantastic cover art she created for this single, as well as .studios (Isaac) for this photo of me which has appeared in several write ups since November’s release of “I Ate a Bouquet of Flowers”. Four singles from the upcoming album now streaming everywhere, playlist/article/interview features abounding, I step back from that particular grind with some satisfaction and gratitude.
