The bikers thought the little girl needed directions.
She couldn’t have been older than seven.
Yellow dress.
Teddy bear tucked under her arm.
But instead of asking for help, she walked up to the biggest biker in the lot.
“Are you Tank?”
The man looked confused.
“Maybe. Why?”
The girl handed him the teddy bear.
“My mom said this belongs to you.”
Tank chuckled.
Then he unzipped it.
A photograph slipped into his hand.
Old.
Worn.
Nearly destroyed by time.
His smile disappeared instantly.
“No way…”
The girl nodded.
“She knew you’d recognize it.”
The parking lot fell silent.
Because the woman in that picture disappeared fifteen years ago.
