Your Brookings Area Community Band was a hit at the 55th Brookings Summer Arts Festival in Pioneer Park! The band sounded great and a loyal and robust ensemble gave the crowd an outstanding concert! Next Sunday is the band’s final concert of the summer and will feature their annual fundraiser…. The Burger & Brat Feed! Bring some cash or your checkbook and come early as we start serving at 6:30 pm. Everyone will enjoy some SDSU Ice Cream!

This week, on July 11th, the band will perform on Sunday morning at the Brookings Summer Arts Festival following the ecumenical service at the band shell. Bring your wallet (cash is always appreciated by the vendors) for shopping and your appetite and stop by the Band’s booth behind the band shell for hot pizza and a cold beverage! The performance is usually around 10 am… and the festival provides benches, but many people bring their folding chairs to enjoy other entertainment throughout the day.

The Children’s March featured the band playing “Aces of the Air” by Karl King and the kiddy wrangling of Kathy Larsen and Sue Knutzen.
