It’s been a while folks! Juniper and I are back in the studio after a long hiatus.

Life brought some big and swift changes and we just needed to take some time to ourselves for a bit.

We moved to a new town, I have a full time job that I absolutely adore and I’m still a full time single parent to an 8th grader (middle school is intense)! So while June and I will be back in the studio, it’s part time.

Hopefully I’ll have some goodies in time for the coming Holidays but I’m not putting a ton of pressure on myself with deadlines. Right now I’m focused on having fun and just creating in the studio. I’ve already had requests for custom orders - thanks for the love folks! I’m taking very few custom requests right now and I’m not sure when I’ll open custom orders in a larger capacity. If you have a custom order, feel free to send me an email and I’ll let you know what timeframe we’re looking at.

It’s good to be back in the studio, jamming to tunes, hands in clay, Juni by my side.

Weaving invites me to SLOW down. It draws me into being fully present with what’s in front of me. My mind goes quiet. A welcome reprieve from the noise and chaos.

I’m not sure about you, but I’ve both relished and pushed back against the sudden fullness that this summer has brought. I’ve been working like crazy. I’ve also been a little quiet as I navigate some health things for both myself and my kid.

We’re just trying to soak up those few sunshiny days (after weeks and weeks of rain) and on more than one occasion I’ve fought the urge to start a fire because it’s been so chilly up on the mountain in the evenings.

I often struggle with all of the ‘shoulds’. I feel like I should be posting everyday. I fell like I should be asking you to buy my work over and over again. But I’m constantly learning to not pay too much attention to that. I’m learning to focus on the wants instead of shoulds. I want to take it nice and slow this summer. I want to enjoy my time offline right now. I want to be at my loom letting the shuttle fly in that over and under pattern that I love. I want to just BE in the moment. I’m going with that. 😉

How’s you’re summer feeling? Full? Overwhelming? Just right?...whatever the answer is, I hope you find a rhythm that works for you. I hope you seek out those moments of quiet presence. And I sure hope you’re out there soaking up the sun. ☀️

Scarf weather in July? I’ll take it. It’s giving me a chance to wear this scarf that finally came off the loom.

It’s an infinity scarf that’s woven back into itself and it’s my new favorite pattern.

Last I checked, still has some of this Painted Sky yarn. It weaves up beautifully. 🧶

Stacks and stacks of flower frogs just waiting to get loaded on the website. In the meantime, I’ve had to postpone todays’s open studio hours. The plumbing is out again at my home and I’m waiting on plumbers...again. I’ll be at the studio at some point this afternoon 🤞🏼 I just don’t know when yet.

Hi, my name is Juniper and I gave my mom a big scare over the weekend. I’m happy to say I’m feeling better and back to being the best studio assistant in town.

It’s been a doozy of a week but I hope you’ll come visit me in the studio (and shop for pottery). Mom’s having open studio hours next week. I’ll be here for pets (and pottery) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10-4pm.

Open studio update : closed due to an emergency.

We’re currently waiting at the emergency vet. Something is wrong with June and we’re devastated, scared, and waiting. Obviously I closed the studio. I’m hoping I get to write a good update soon and see you tomorrow. In the meantime, please keep JuneBug in your prayers.

I’m absolutely thrilled to open my studio to visitors this weekend! is hosting Open Studio weekend for artists throughout the entire state of Vermont. I’ve gone as a visitor in years past and this year, you’re invited to come see my ceramics studio in Bristol.

Things to know :

- This is your chance to get a Flower Frogs! You keep asking for them and I’m loading tons into the glaze kiln tonight. So stop by this weekend to grab one (or two). Just in time for your blooming gardens. 🌸

-Every artist will have their own mask protocols, please be respectful of their requests. We’ve come so far in Vermont and yet there are still populations that are vulnerable. For my studio, masks are preferred but not required for anyone that is fully vaccinated. And obviously, if you’re not feeling well or have recently been exposed to a Covid positive person, pottery can wait, I promise! 😉

- There are literally hundreds of studios open this weekend. Like everyone else, 2020 hit artists hard and we’d love your support as we emerge from a challenging time. Go buy some art, get inspired, and just stop in and say hello!

- If you’re making a day out of it, Bristol has some fabulous shops, good eats, and short but sweet hikes. Feel free to reach out for recommendations.

-Please leave your dogs at home. You know I love a good dog snuggle, but it’s best to keep your pups at home.

-Most importantly, have fun! Hope to see you this weekend.
