This watercolor bookmark was such a fun piece to create! 🎨✨

I started by layering different shades of brown watercolor, then covered it with crinkled plastic wrap and let it dry. When the wrap came off, it revealed beautiful textures, lines, and natural patterns. From there, I simply picked a section and let my imagination take over—drawing whatever came to mind until it transformed into this unique design. 🖤

One of my favorite things about creating art is never knowing exactly where the process will lead! ✨🖤

Today’s mineral is Obsidian. It is the most common form of natural glass and is formed by volcanism.

It is knows as a “truth stone” or “psychic shield”. Obsidian is believed to absorb negative energies, anchor wandering thoughts, bring mental clarity, and often used to shield from emotional attacks, stress, and hostile environments.

Did you know: The Rose Rock is the state rock of Oklahoma and is made of barite crystals and quartz sand. According to an old Cherokee legend, the rose rock symbolize the tears and blood of Native Americans who suffered during the forced relocation of the Trail of Tears.
