Happy Birthday Steve Gaines
& Ed King of Lynyrd Skynyrd
Ed King wrote their first major hit
Sweet home Alabama
And Co-wrote other hits

Steve Gaines came in like a bolt of lightning and gave the band to kick in the ass that they needed to get creative and write some new phenomenal material which became
“street survivors 1977”

He challenged to Allen and Gary in a respectful manner to push them beyond their typical limits

Tragically it was short-lived

Their memory and their music will
live on forever as long as us fans
keep it alive and play it live
