Haney Records Recordings Produced by Chris Haney

Chris Haney was taught recording engineering, producing, and live sound privately by Greg "Fernie" Quesnel who ran legendary studio Southern Tracks in Atlanta, worked at Studio One, and recorded 38 Special and Atlanta Rhythm Section among many others. Greg also taught Brenden O'brien who recorded Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, The Black Crowes, Bruce Springsteen, Velvet

Revolver, and too many gold and platinum artists more to list here. Greg serves as a constant resource and teacher for Chris on many of his recordings and uses Chris as his assistant on live sound gigs and studio sessions to this day, as Greg is basically an uncle and one of his dad's oldest friends. As a drummer and percussionist, Chris was taught privately by Roy "Futureman" Wooten, David Haney, Tom Roady, Ryan Parker, and many others as a teenager and pursued his music degree at Jacksonville State University where he marched tenors on the JSU Drumline. He currently teaches his high school's drumline, teaches private lessons, works as a Drum Sample Designer for Zendrum (which his father David Haney invented), plays in several Atlanta bands, and plays drums, piano, guitar, bass, and percussion on many recording sessions as well as singing backup vocals and harmonies. Chris was taught piano by his mother, who was classically trained, and also his godfather Hal Baccus, who is nearly finished with his Doctorate in Music and specializes in Pipe Organ. Chris learned guitar in later years by building upon his piano, drumming, and music theory foundations and by picking up tips from the talented guitarists he knows.
