🎀 OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎀

The Brandon Veterans’ Post and Park Association, Inc. proudly stands with breast cancer survivors, those currently fighting, families supporting their loved ones, and the precious lives we remember.

This month, we encourage our veterans, families, and Greater Brandon community to make awareness, education, early detection, and support a priority.

💗 Early detection saves lives.
💗 Know your body and recognize changes.
💗 Keep recommended screenings and mammograms.
💗 Encourage the women you love to prioritize their health.
💗 Support those walking through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

To every survivor — we celebrate your strength.
To every fighter — we stand with you.
To every caregiver and family member — your support matters.
To every life remembered — your legacy remains with us.

Throughout October, may the pink ribbon remind us that no one should have to fight alone.

STRONGER TOGETHER IN THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER. 🎀🇺🇸

💜 DAY 30 — SEPTEMBER SU***DE PREVENTION AWARENESS MONTH 💜

Today marks the final day of Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, but for the Brandon Veterans’ Post and Park Association, Inc., the conversation does NOT end here.

💜 TODAY’S TIP: KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING

For 30 days, we have encouraged our community to reach out, listen, support, check in, recognize warning signs, choose hope, and remind people that they are not alone.

But su***de prevention cannot be limited to one month.

Mental health matters 365 days a year.

Keep checking on the strong friend.
Keep calling the veteran who has gotten quiet.
Keep asking, “Are you really okay?”
Keep listening without judgment.
Keep encouraging people to seek professional support.
And most importantly—keep showing up.

A single conversation today could make a difference tomorrow.

💜 REACH OUT — Don’t assume someone else will check on them.
💜 LISTEN — Give people a safe place to be honest.
💜 SUPPORT — Help connect someone with professional resources when needed.
💜 BE A LIGHT — Your presence, compassion, and encouragement matter.
💜 SPREAD HOPE — Make su***de prevention and mental health awareness part of our community all year long.

🇺🇸 TO OUR VETERANS:

Your service matters.
Your experiences matter.
Your mental health matters.
YOUR LIFE MATTERS.

Still here. Still standing. Still healing. Still making a difference.

September may be ending, but our commitment continues.

🇺🇸 DAILY LEADERSHIP STRATEGY | CUSTOMER SERVICE STARTS WITH US

Customer service is not just something businesses do—it is an essential part of leadership, service, and community trust.

At the Brandon Veterans’ Post & Park Association, Inc., every person who walks through our doors, calls our office, sends an email, attends an event, rents our facility, volunteers, or partners with us should experience respect, professionalism, helpfulness, and excellence.

Every interaction represents our organization.

Customer service means:

⭐ BE WELCOMING — Make people feel valued from the moment they encounter us.
⭐ COMMUNICATE CLEARLY — Provide accurate information and respond professionally.
⭐ BE HELPFUL — Don’t simply identify a problem; help find a solution.
⭐ FOLLOW THROUGH — If you say you will call, email, check, or handle something—do it.
⭐ LEAVE A POSITIVE IMPRESSION — People may forget the details of an interaction, but they will remember how they were treated.

And customer service isn’t only for the public. It begins internally. How we communicate with fellow board members, volunteers, members, tenants, and partners establishes the culture others experience.

Today’s leadership challenge:

Before every interaction, ask yourself: “How would I want to be treated if I were on the other side of this conversation?”

We may not always be able to give someone the answer they want, but we can always provide courtesy, clarity, respect, professionalism, and timely communication.

Our reputation is built one interaction at a time.

🇺🇸 SERVICE WITH EXCELLENCE. LEAD WITH PURPOSE.

🇺🇸 WE RECEIVED OUR SECOND DONATION! 🇺🇸

The needle is moving! ❤️🤍💙

We are excited to celebrate our second donation to the Brandon Veterans’ Post and Park Association, Inc. “Raise the Roof • Cool the Hall • Pave the Way” Capital Campaign!

💰 Total Raised: $100
🎯 Campaign Goal: $225,000
📈 Remaining: $224,900

We started with $50, and now another generous supporter has stepped forward with an additional $50! This is exactly how we will reach our goal—one person, one family, one business, one church, and one organization at a time.

To our second donor: THANK YOU! 🇺🇸 Your generosity has helped us move the needle again and reminds us that our community believes in preserving a place that continues to serve our veterans.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are working to raise the funds needed to address three critical areas at the Brandon Veterans Hall:

🏠 Raise the Roof
❄️ Cool the Hall
🛣️ Pave the Way

Now the question is… WHO WILL BE #3? 🙌🏾

You can give $22.50, $50, $100, $225, or any amount. Every dollar moves us forward.

💜 DAY 29 — SEPTEMBER SU***DE PREVENTION AWARENESS MONTH 💜

As we approach the end of September, the Brandon Veterans’ Post and Park Association, Inc. continues to remind our veterans, families, friends, and neighbors that su***de prevention is not just a September conversation—it is a year-round commitment to connection, compassion, and community.

💜 TODAY’S TIP: LEAN ON YOUR SUPPORT SYSTEM

You were never meant to carry everything alone.

When life becomes heavy, reach out to someone you trust. Talk to a friend. Call a family member. Connect with another veteran. Speak with a counselor, chaplain, faith leader, or mental health professional.

Asking for support is not weakness. Connection can help make difficult moments more manageable.

And sometimes support looks as simple as getting out of the house and getting around people.

💜 REACH OUT — Don’t disappear when life gets difficult. Stay connected.
💜 LISTEN — Be the person someone can talk to without fear of judgment.
💜 SUPPORT — Encourage professional help and continue checking in.
💜 BE A LIGHT — Your presence, kindness, and encouragement matter.
💜 SPREAD HOPE — Build a community where everyone knows they belong.

🏠 GET IN THE BUILDING!

Isolation can make difficult moments feel even heavier. Come around people. Come connect. Come fellowship. Come laugh. Come talk.

We want our Brandon Veterans community to be a place where veterans and families know:

YOU HAVE PEOPLE.
YOU HAVE PURPOSE.
YOU HAVE COMMUNITY.
YOU BELONG.

Don’t just survive—thrive together. 💜
