This is a really interesting article & if you use the link, an amazing slide show of baskets. I really liked #'s 22 & 44. When I read articles like this, it reminds me how spoiled I am. I don't have to spend days & weeks collecting & preparing materials before I weave. Usually most if not all the hard work has been done.

Mostly I think Christmas ornaments made from basket materials are just silly. Sorry, just my opinion. Nobody is expected to agree with me. That said, these Barks & Roots ornaments are spectacular. For me, they hit a note of skill & elegance.

For everyone on this Thanksgiving Day (USA holiday). Grateful for family & health. Also grateful for those things people rarely think about, or at least mention, running water, decent roads, police protection.
