Shirley Robinett Art Mixed Media Collage Artist Art has always followed me throughout my life.

It began with my grandmother teaching me how to make roses out of tissue paper as a young child and continued to follow me to become an artist myself after pursuing a degree of fine arts. Drawing from my grandmother and other artists for inspiration, I use cattle markers, watercolors, or recycled paintings along with feathers, horsehair, or other materials to create my unique mix-medium style of a

I'm pleased to announce that my piece, "In Search of the Northern Star" recently received a first place award at the Cody Art Gallery, Cody, WY.

"In Search of the Northern Star" follows the adventures of a courageous young girl who embarks on an extraordinary journey atop her loyal polar bear companion. Determined to find the legendary Northern Star, said to hold the key to restoring balance to her icy homeland, she sets out across the frozen tundra. Along the way, they face treacherous blizzards, encounter mystical creatures, and overcome daunting obstacles. As their bond strengthens, the girl learns invaluable lessons about courage, resilience, and the power of friendship.
