Boxford Village Garden Club We strive to promote appreciation and understanding of earth-friendly gardening, civic beautification, floral design and horticulture in Boxford.

BVGC members maintain the grounds of several public locations in Boxford, provide garden therapy at Four Mile Village, decorate the Holyoke-French House for the Apple Festival, co-host the town's Earth Day. They also provide conservation and pollination information, make greenery for town buildings during the holidays, and deliver floral arrangements to Bread and Roses Soup Kitchen. The annual Plant Sale in May is the BVGC's biggest fundraiser.

We can't wait until the APPLE FESTIVAL on SEPTEMBER 19! Our table at the corner of the Holyoke French House is styled like a French floral boutique. We have pre-made floral arrangements all ready to go, and can also create custom orders. You can find many different kinds of festive fall decorations as well. Only three weeks away!

Three weeks from now Elm Street will be bursting with activity when Boxford springs to life during the Apple Festival on September 19! The Holyoke French House grounds will be decorated with festive fall decorations by the Boxford Village Garden Club, and there will be beautiful floral arrangements when you tour the inside of this grand colonial house. On July 24, club member Karen Brockelbank generously opened her garden to Becci Backman, Andover Garden Club (AGC) president; Steve Cotton, president of the Foster's Pond Corporation; and Fyj Wheeler, member of the BVGC and AGC. All visitors were impressed with the amazing amount of work Karen has done to create this garden, started in 2021. The individual areas have different themes, such as pollinator, herb, vegetable, fairy, and water.

The Boxford Village Garden Club's Civic Beautification program keeps a half dozen sites in town looking good. Today one of the two crews assigned to the police station worked on the mixed borders on the right side of the building. Pictured left to right is Diane Spiliotis, Susan Soucy (team captain), Linda Shea (program chair), Susan Giallombardo, Melanie Cullinane, and Bernadett Campbell. The team member who put in the least amount of work today, Fyj Wheeler, tried to make up for it by taking and posting this photo. 🙃
