This free-standing, resin, oceanic sculpture emulates a rising wave with seashells and starfish swept up inside. The fluid aquas and blues of the water capture the imagination with a sense of peace and calm like a serene day at the beach. In addition, crushed glass adds sparkle, depth and texture to the sculpture. A battery powered, changing light base is included that makes the wave come alive, creating a whole new dimension of shifting moods and subtle oceanic beauty.

"Across the Milky Way" This translucent, free-standing resin sculpture, measuring 11" H x 16" W x 5" D is an abstract interpretation of the Milky Way. The unique characteristics of resin allow light to shine through, creating an opportunity to exhibit this sculpture in a variety of ways and thus create a myriad of interesting effects. It can be displayed as is, near a sunlit window, or one may place flickering candles or lights behind it. Crushed glass, glitter, and acrylic diamonds have been added to give the sculpture more depth and texture.

Welcome to my page! My name is Sharon Jogerst and I am an artist, born and raised in Colorado. For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for creating art that captures the beauty of nature. I am fascinated by the way water flows and how the play of light reflects the iridescent sparkles of color in the atmosphere. I love the vastness of space and the twinkling of the stars in the heavens. In my artistic creations I strive to recreate these unique inspiring images. Over the years, I have explored and embraced many different art forms including working with oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, air brush, fiber arts, silk painting, photography, and mixed media. It was upon discovering resin art that I found the artistic medium that allows me to express my soul's vision most perfectly. For me, working with resin is a playful dance; setting colors and textures into motion and adding a sprinkle of star dust. Each one of my creations is hand-made, a one-of-a-kind original.
