Tribal Wisdom's long awaited 14 song CD entitled "Lost In Boston" Now available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Google Play and Bandcamp The album was released on November 16th 2016. In support of their efforts the band will play a select number of shows in 2017. Formed in the spring 1992 by John Baglio (keyboardist/vocalist) and Jamie Forbes (drums). The very first incarnation of Tribal Wisdom featur

ed Peter Nelson (bass) and Jason Webb (guitar). The band was fronted by vocalist Mike Morel. Shawn McCarron (vocals)who was not yet a member of the band was a very big part of the bands inception as well and was responsible for coming up with the band name. The goal for this line up was to play one big show to end the summer. The day before the show. Peter was unable to make the gig. With less than 24 hours’ notice and no plans to cancel the show. Jason called in his uncle Lou Selvitella to learn the set and fill in. The Show went off without a hitch and the summer long anticipation of Tribal Wisdom was a great success but, immediately following the show. The original line up was no more. With plans to continue on with Tribal Wisdom, Baglio and Forbes went back to the drawing board. In the fall of 92 they continued writing ballads with the idea of trying to sell songs to the radio market. In January of 1993 they came across bass playing veteran Johnny Cotto. After a few months of auditions the now 3 piece brought in the very talented song writer and shredder Rich Vigdor. Vigdor had a connection at Metropolis Recording studio in Middleton Ma. They brought in former Guitarzan Vocalist Johnny Fagen. Fagen was just a short time fill in the help the band complete their very first studio recording featuring just 4 songs. Unfortunately due to time constraints and lack of funds that recording was never finished and this version of Tribal Wisdom was over with too. By the end of 1993 Baglio and Forbes reached out to an old friend and guitar player Richard Papa Jr. Original bass player Pete Nelson was called back and a new chemistry was formed. Tribal Wisdom picked up doing some cover songs, and mixed in originals and added 2nd a guitar player Kristin Paris and lead vocalist Kevin Reynolds. In The summer of 94 the band was fully active with a 30/40 song setlist. It was a successful run for this line up highlighted by the birth of 2 powerful originals called “Back Breaker & Wretched Tongue” and an opening slot for Ace Frehely. But at the end of the summer this line up disbanded. With Baglio attending Berklee School of music. A recording opportunity came along and the band got a chance to do some recording and got a taste of what the sound of Tribal Wisdom was going to sound like. In April of 1995 Tribal Wisdom returned with force. This time around there was one final addition. Shawn McCarron who had been with the band since the beginning as a behind the scenes member began chipping in with some background vocal support to Baglio and little by little Kahn was becoming more and more involved in the stage show and it wasn't long after that he was given his own song which became a crowd favorite. Once "Whats up with the system" became part of the set-list. Kahn McCarron became part of the band and he and Baglio would become the venomous vocal duo up front to ignite the crowd. Kahn was the missing piece that the band needed for them to reach their greatest heights and this line-up become the formula to their ultimate identity. The band then began production on their debut self-titled album/CD “Tribal Wisdom” The CD was released on January 14th 1996 @ the Middle East to a full house. With the departure of original bassist Peter Nelson but without missing a beat Jonathan Lamoureux was added to the line up and by the spring of 1996 Tribal Wisdom had become a local headliner. On August 2nd,1996 the band was headlining a show at Mama Kin Music Hall and the crowd got out of control. A full blown riot broke out causing management to cut power before the set was done. The band brushed themselves off and headed for New York playing at the historic CBGB’s to a full house. When the band returned home to Boston they found that all of their shows that were booked for the rest of the year were all cancelled due to the previous event at Mama Kin. The band took some time off and called on Jawn P (Top Choice Clique) for some help and he set them up with some studio time at Sound Techniques in Boston Ma. Tribal Wisdom began production on their second studio effort “Toxic” for a re-launch in 1997. The return was set but unfortunately the ban on Tribal Wisdom was still not lifted. The Rathskeller in Boston was the only place that would let the band perform live and the first show back was a complete success but the ban was still in effect. The band decided to start playing out in the suburbs and New England college campuses. From the rest of 1997–1999 the unfortunate ban on Tribal Wisdom remained in place and it cost the band a lot of great shows and exposure they desperately needed. Tribal Wisdom continued pushing forward going through the suburbs, colleges and a very sobering trip back to NY. The band was still very active and had 2 albums worth of new material and from 2000–2002 continued to write and play live to large crowds of faithful followers. Tribal Wisdom played their final show on April 27th, 2002. In 2014 – Rich Papa and Jamie Forbes got together and started talking about doing a celebration show to celebrate 20 years from the release of the first album. The first step was to get everybody to agree to do it but with family and professional obligations Jonathan Lamoureux could not make the commitment. After discussion with longtime friend, Kevin G. a supporter of the band and independent producer with his own band K.G. accepted the offer to fill in on bass. As of 12/24/14 the band has already had a few practices under their belt. Tribal Wisdom calls this revival “Un-finished Business” and business is going to be taken care of in 2015.
