Thayer’s U-235. George Robinson, Collectors’ Workshop.

A stunning recreation of the original Thayer magic effect! A solid glass sheet is securely placed between two aluminum tubes. A steel ball is dropped into the top tube—yet, impossibly, it penetrates the glass and falls onto the plate below.

Expertly crafted by George Robinson and Collectors’ Workshop, this piece is a high-quality tribute to Thayer’s classic illusion. Includes original box and instructions.

Smarter. Michael Weber & Tim Trono, 2025.

A clever, self-contained mentalism effect disguised as a pack of gum. The performer demonstrates rapid, seemingly impossible calculation abilities—adding columns of random two-digit numbers instantly and under increasingly fair conditions—before extending the effect to a participant.

Printed wrappers are formed into four-sided tubes, each displaying varied numerical sequences. Any column can be totaled at a glance. In the finale, a freely handled selection of tubes impossibly matches a previously revealed total, reinforcing the premise of a temporary “boost” in intelligence after chewing the included gimmicked gum. Complete with original packaging, printed wrappers, and instructions.

Painted wooden “television” frame with gilt-trimmed viewing window and original base, styled after early portable TV sets. An uncommon, limited-production piece from Kline. Screen approximately 12” square. Visible wear to paint and finish consistent with age and use. Good condition.

Mag. Farbspiel (Magic Coloured Disks). Inzani-Henley Magic Company, London. Mid-20th century.

Boxed set of small colored disks with metal spindle, housed in original printed carton labeled in both German and English. The illustrated lid suggests a mind-reading or prediction effect in which a spectator arranges the disks on the metal rod while the performer divines the order under seemingly fair conditions. Contents in very good condition. An uncommon piece of Inzani-Henley magic.

Super Moon Rock. Sid Lorraine, 1969.

A whimsical effect rooted in the wonder of the space race, attributed to Canadian magician Sid Lorraine. The performer introduces a curious “moon rock,” said to retain its form only when kept in a more or less airtight environment—just as one might expect of a fragile extraterrestrial specimen.

When removed from its container, the magician explains that exposure to air and moisture destabilizes the rock. Cupped in the hands, it visibly softens—its texture and color shifting—until it transforms completely into an unexpected and humorous finale: a wedge of green cheese.

An inventive novelty piece that captures both the imagination of the lunar age and the enduring appeal of visual transformation magic. Rock in very good condition with light handling wear. Original instruction sheet present, folded, with toning and creasing consistent with age. Scarce.
