Beautiful evening with the Jazz Composers Alliance Orchestra last night, closing out the 2023-2024 Dot Jazz Series collaboration between Mandorla Music and Greater Ashmont Main Street. They played a wide ranging program of original works by Mimi Rabson, David Harris, Bob Pilkington and Darrell Katz and Darrell's arrangement of an Ellington piece. Inspired musicianship, exciting and interesting music, dialed-in crowd - that's what it's about.
