There’s just one week left to experience The Art of Emerging.

I’ve loved watching visitors slow down, look closely, and connect with these works that reveal something essential about the world around us. If you haven’t had a chance to stop by yet, consider this your invitation.

Come spend some time with the art, discover a new favorite artist, and perhaps even fall in love with a piece to take home.

Open through June 21st. Shop in person or online at https://www.dianastelin.com/gallery/exhibitions

I create small pieces too.

This Venetian dream measures just 10x14 inches, layered with oil, wax, and gold leaf. It was inspired by a sketch I created in Venice this winter while preparing for my upcoming Venice Biennale satellite exhibition.

The exhibition opens July 10 and runs through September 14. If your travels happen to take you to Burano this summer, I hope you’ll stop by.

Until then, this little piece brings a bit of Venice home.

10x14 inches | $850

I’m drawn to the way Sasha Knittel captures that moment before wonder fully arrives—when beauty isn’t loud, but certain. Through vibrant florals, delicate monochrome compositions, and an incredible sensitivity to texture and form, Sasha reminds us that nature is never just background—it’s memory, movement, and presence.

A beautiful invitation to pause, notice, and look a little closer.

Close-ups and process.
There’s something freeing about working in acrylic — the ability to return each day, to refine, to soften, to push just a little further.
At this scale, it feels like open water.
Some areas stay unresolved on purpose… left for you to step in and complete.
You don’t just look at the painting — you enter it.
You become part of that quiet, layered mystery that is Venice.
This Burano piece will soon leave for a satellite show on the island during the Venice Biennale.
Our current show wraps on April 27th as we make room for a fresh spring group exhibition.
Come by and melt into Venice while it’s still here.

Today’s three works of the week are created by Reut Akerman!

Ocean Balance (18x18 inches)
Secret Blue (12x12 inches)
Rooted in Motion (16x16 inches)
Each piece reflects a movement, texture, and color. Reut used Japanese paper to create collages on wood panels.
All three pieces and many more will be featured in our Spring Call for Art Exhibition from April 27th to June 22nd. Stay tuned!
