I’m going to miss performing in Silent Night at Florida Grand Opera more than I can say. It’s a piece that stays with you — the story, the music, and the extraordinary people you get to share the stage with. Being part of this production at FGO these past weeks has been incredibly meaningful, and I’m grateful to the entire team and my fellow castmates for creating something so special together.
A few reviews that meant a great deal to me and to all of us involved:
“As the French barber Ponchel, Elliot Madore was luxury casting. Previously heard as the protagonists of Jorge Martin’s Before Night Falls and Mozart’s Don Giovanni at Florida Grand Opera, this veteran Met baritone was a poignant scene stealer.” — South Florida Classical Review
“In a class of his own was Elliot Madore, as Audebert’s aide-de-camp, Ponchel — a crucial character whose pointless death near the end underscores the futility of war. With his gorgeous baritone sound and strong stage persona, Madore achieved the most vivid individual characterization — notably in his aria of reminiscence about drinking coffee with his mother.” — Palm Beach ArtsPaper
