Don't Put Me in a Box NU

Don't Put Me in a Box NU This page is dedicated to NU's "Don't Put Me In A Box" education and awareness campaign about microaggressions we all experience based on our identities.

"Microaggressions are the everyday verbal, nonverbal, and environmental slights, snubs, or insults, whether intentional or unintentional, which communicate hostile, derogatory, or negative messages to target persons based solely upon their marginalized group membership."- Psychology Today

Through this campaign, we hope to bring light to the lasting effects microaggressions can have on one's identity, self-esteem, mental health, and ability to thrive as an individual. Microaggressions can be made towards race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, privilege, religion, and psychological conditions and more. Don't put anyone in a box. Everyone has a lot more to them than meets the eye.
