One Networking Event... Countless Opportunities!
I had the privilege of attending my very first Metro South Chamber of Commerce Networking Event at the Brockton Rox Minor League Baseball Game, and I can honestly say it was one of the most inspiring business experiences I've had.
From the moment I arrived until the time I left, I felt welcomed and supported.
A special thank you to Ian, who welcomed me like we had known each other for years. Right from the start, he introduced me to some incredible people who truly took an interest in the vision of Xtreme Xcitement Simulation Center LLC.
One of those people was Joanne. She was extraordinary—she listened carefully to my vision, offered valuable advice, and even volunteered to introduce me to lenders who may be able to help bring Xtreme Xcitement to life. Her willingness to support a new business meant more than she knows.
Then I met Sheri, and what an incredible person she is! She took the time to hear my story and immediately said, "I know people who can help you." The very next day, she turned her words into action. She introduced me to a local banker and even arranged a Zoom meeting with the owner of her company, who wanted to learn more about Xtreme Xcitement after hearing about the business. That level of support is something I'll never forget.
I also want to recognize Christopher Cooney, President & CEO of the Metro South Chamber of Commerce. Chris took the time to hear my vision and simply said, "Send me your business concept." He then told me he would share it with people in his network who may know of commercial properties that fit the size and vision of Xtreme Xcitement. That's what real leadership and community support look like. Those kinds of connections can change the future of a business.
Chris, thank you. Your willingness to help means more than you know. You reminded me that you're never too old to keep learning, growing, and looking up to people who lead by serving others. You are a true role model.
I also want to thank the many business owners and entrepreneurs I spoke with throughout the evening. Whether you shared advice about legal matters, partnerships, financing, or business growth, every conversation taught me something valuable.
One lesson was reinforced over and over again:
Partnerships build relationships, and relationships build success.
To everyone at the Metro South Chamber of Commerce, thank you for making me feel like part of your family. I truly appreciate the warm welcome and look forward to building lasting relationships with all of you.
Xtreme Xcitement Simulation Center LLC has so much to offer the South Shore, and we're just getting started.
P.S. This was also my very first Brockton Rox game, and I had a fantastic time! I even got to meet K-O the Kangaroo, and let me tell you—that mascot deserves some recognition. It was hot outside, and K-O never stopped entertaining the fans!
If you're looking for something fun to do with your family, I encourage you to support the Brockton Rox. Grab some hot dogs, pretzels, a cold ice cream cone, and enjoy a great evening of baseball.
Let's continue supporting local businesses, community events, and family entertainment. Together, we can help make our communities stronger.
To my cousin Wayne and Papa—thank you for coming with me. Not only did you support my dream, but you also made valuable connections of your own. Wayne, I can already see your basketball camp growing from the conversations you had. Papa, you connected with people who could become future patients for your dental practice. That's the power of networking—when one person succeeds, everyone around them has the opportunity to grow.
The future of Xtreme Xcitement is looking brighter every day. Boots on the ground. Staying focused. God is opening doors, and we're walking through them one relationship at a time.
