this is one of my fav videos of us. you took me on my first journey out of the country (minus the time we all went to haiti together when i was a baby) and i had the best time ever. top 5 moments in my life was this trip with you. we grew so much closer, we made such fun memories, we did all the excursions, we appreciated the island, we shared our hopes and dreams for the future. life was beautiful. i wonder what you would think about the state of the world today. how it’s all falling apart and countries are always at war with each other and within themselves, the climate gets worse and worse, healthcare isn’t affordable, oppression reigns, and so on. and you cared so much about making the world a better place with your impact, and helping people. i’m happy we had the time on earth that we did together. through you i learned what it means to be a global citizen. thank you for that.

…i’m sure anyone who grieves can understand this thought - even though i wish every second of every day that you were with me, with us again, i’m grateful you don’t have to experience all this chaos. that you are somewhere better than here, that your mission was completed and you can enjoy God’s beautiful kingdom. it’s a lil crazy down here but imma keep holding it down for you brother, and i’m going to keep finding the beauty in all that i see, and doing my part, until we meet again 🤎

celebrating the last day of this semester on my bday. thanking God for the gift of life, the gift of my strength, the family and friends I have. I remember how amazingly my day had started when I took this photo. I ran errands, pampered myself, drove into the city, shot different looks with , then I walked around newbury street and got myself a slice of pizza. I took in the sunset and the city as I prepared to move to NY having just loaded the moving truck the day prior. but then I got home. and my parents told me my brother had passed away. and I was in denial, confused, and ultimately shattered. I remember every single moment so vividly after that. I still feel so shattered, to the point that it feels wrong to even look at this picture or post it. but then I think about my brother and how proud he would be of me for making it through my first semester, how excited he was for me. I look at life differently because of you Ardlley. everything I do now is with the hope and goal to carry out your legacy, to do what you wanted to for me and mom. this transparency isn’t just for y’all, but it’s for me to heal and understand and move forward. I’m proud of myself for what I’ve done in these last 24 years of my life, and I’m going to live every moment to the fullest & appreciate every moment God gives me. thinking of you extra today bro 🤍
