Hey all! A fun little update for ya. I am so incredibly excited to perform in a ~*WORLD PREMIERE*~!!! I will be singing the role of Jane Toppan in "The Murderess" (with music by Allison McIntosh and libretto by Trip Venturella) this summer with Landlocked Opera. This crazy and incredible story is based on an actual true crime story, and I cannot wait to bring it to life.
Catch two amazing casts on July 15th and 16th at Atonement Lutheran Church in Overland Park.

❤️MEET THE ARTIST❤️

Houston Native Mezzo-soprano, Katarina Galagaza, received a BM in Applied Voice from the
Eastman School of Music, an MM in Vocal Performance from Boston University, and an Artist
Certificate in Performance from the University of Missouri Kansas City. Some of her most
notable roles include Nancy in Britten’s Albert Herring, Flora Bervoix in Verdi’s La traviata,
Fox Goldenback in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen (Boston University Opera Institute),
Sesto in Giulio Cesare, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro (Seagle Music Festival), and Dorabella
in Così fan tutte (UMKC).
Katarina was the Mezzo-soprano Young Artist with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City from
2020-2022. There, she was an ensemble member in Baseball: A Musical Love Letter and in the
chorus for Amahl and the Night Visitors, The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs, and Tosca. She returned
in their 2023 Season as a chorus member in La traviata.

Katarina is looking forward to joining Landlocked Opera in this wonderful concert!

Happy New Year, everyone! Last year included some amazing musical memories and personal growth. I can't wait to see what this year brings and to achieve even more of my goals!

From opening night of "La traviata" with Lyric Opera of Kansas City! This show is so incredibly beautiful, from the music, to the staging, to the design, and to the cast. This is honestly some of my favorite music to sing.
