What an absolute dream to listen among the starlight to this beautiful cast of singers last night. Our one night only show was totally sold out (and then some). We thank everyone that came out and cheered on our performers, some who have never performed before and some who haven’t performed in decades. I hope you enjoyed our Broadway revue as much as we enjoyed performing for you. Thank you to our band: Mary, Rodney, Pam, and Cathy. Thank you emcee Darren. Thanks to Kasey, Kelly, Gabe, Nick, Matt, and all those that helped clear out the items at 10pm.

Community theatre is as much about the performance as it is about the friends found and lessons learned along the way during the long hours of rehearsal. Thanks to those that stepped up last minute to fill in for a performer who lost their voice. Thanks to the Elks Lodge for hosting us and the Chillicothe Area Arts Council and Mike White for loaning us their equipment.

Some questions:
1. If you love Broadway was there a song you had never heard that makes you want to see that show now?
2. If you’re new to Broadway what song sold it to you?
3. If we did another cabaret or revue like this what should be the theme?

Thanks to this cast for leaving it all on the stage last night. It was Starlight perfection.

We'd like to introduce our emcee for tomorrow night:

My name is: Darren Lauhoff

What I do outside theatre: I spend time with my lovely wife, Angie, my children: Liv and Jared (along with his wife Ruthie and our grandson Law). I work in the yard, love grilling with my family and friends and I serve on the Festival of Lights committee, but you may know me best from owning Lauhoff Jewelry.

Another time I've been on stage: Besides high school productions, many many moons ago...you may have heard my voice announcing this or that event or production.

I'm excited for this show because I don't have to sing or dance, but get to enjoy these talented local singers.

Our show is tomorrow night, 6:30pm at the Chillicothe Elks. Tickets are $15 and we are down to less than 10 tickets. There will NOT be tickets at the door.

We are down to the tiniest handful of tickets for our show this weekend. We are so close to being sold out. Tickets are $15 cash and are available at the Grand River Museum in Chillicothe 10am-4pm as long as they last.

My name is Mary Garr

Song hint: A hauntingly beautiful song about loving someone from afar and imagining a life that may never be. Filled with longing, hope, and quiet heartbreak, it captures the feeling of being alone while holding tightly to a dream.

What I do outside the theatre: I have been married to my husband Mark for 36 years and we have one son, Zachary. I retired after teaching music and band for 30 years. Currently I teach Preschool music at the Chillicothe United Methodist Church and coach the Marching Hornets Color Guard.

Another time I have been on stage: I usually stay behind the scenes on piano or clarinet. So this will be a new experience for me. I have helped in two other productions of the Chillicothe Theatre Co. on piano in Our Town and The Marvelous Wonderettes.

Song hint: One of my songs is the story of a girl who wouldn’t accept “you’re just a girl” from anyone to follow her dreams.

What I do outside of theatre: I’m married to Tony and we have an adult son, Brett. We own grocery stores and pharmacies where I do all the “number nerd” things.

Another time I have been on stage: You may remember me from Steel Magnolias, Marvelous Wonderettes, Our Town, or Arsenic & Old Lace, and I'm thrilled to be part of this cabaret.

Song Hint: One of the songs I'll perfom I'll give you a tip about, she is always bringing something to the table... just not her own dreams.

What I do outside theatre: I am the Treasury Management Operations Officer at Southern Bank, mother to Parker Leakey, wife of Nick Leakey, pet-mom to 2 dogs & 1 cat.

Another time I have been on stage: My debut to the stage since high school was last year as Suzy in The Marvelous Wonderettes. I am excited to be given the opportunity to work with the Chillicothe Theatre Company once again and be back on stage with my sister, Angie Lauhoff.

We have no idea why it keeps happening. But we will gladly accept your tickets back if you can no longer make it!
