I found this old slide recently. It was a very windy morning 53 years ago waiting to board the new 747 Jumbo jet that would take us straight to Paris for the beginning of our six week European honeymoon. The first week was spent in Paris in a charming little hotel on the Left Bank.. How lucky we were! Gary was a 3rd year medical student so we were poor but he had 6 weeks of holiday. We slept on trains, lived on french bread, cheese and good enough red wine. We swam in the Spanish, French and Italian Riviera. I dont know how many thousands of miles we covered by train! Our guide was Europe on $5 a day. Most importantly Gary got to meet all my family in Hungary!
Anniversaries don’t get easier but I’m focusing on recalling all the memories I can🩷

P. A. Geddie just released the final issue of The County Line Magazine. Since 2000 the magazine has been a staple in Northeast Texas, stories covering the art scene, the music scene and so many human interest stories.
Her dedicated work publishing this magazine supporting the arts will be missed and will leave a deep hole.
Thank you for your 250 issues and for your foresight in archiving this work.
…….and you for honoring Gary with his work on the final cover....it brought tears to my eyes……..he would have loved it.

The number 250 takes center stage in this new issue. Not only are we celebrating the freedom put into motion 250 years ago, but this is also County Line Magazine’s 250th issue since we began in January 2000. With this milestone comes the announcement that we are closing County Line Magazine, and this issue is our last. Please enjoy!
