Farthest Frontier

08/21/2026

Things have been quiet here, so we want to make sure the community knows Farthest Frontier has several big updates in development!

If you have not been participating on the forums, you likely missed that we have at least two major free content updates and a massive expansion on the way. V1.2 is nearly ready and we expect playtesting to begin this Fall. We will be doing a full preview of what's in store in a month or so, but if you are a fan of trading (or perhaps not cause the UI...well...yeah...), you will find the overhauled Trading Post and mechanics to be to your liking. But that's just the the first thing on the feature list...

V1.3 will be coming early next year, and we look forward to talking about that after v1.2. As for the expansion, let's just say it's going...swimmingly. We are talking new production lines, mechanics, resources, and much much more!

So stay tuned!

We regularly receive requests for merch, and we have reached out to various companies in the past on your behalf. We are usually met with a whole lot of go away. Apparently we're not exciting enough. But Makeship has been a good partner in the past.

This time around, we made some pins. If you are a fan of ours and want to show it off, these are pretty chonky.

As usual, we don't make much off of this sort of thing. But we hear your requests and hope we can provide you more opportunities for merch in the future!

Enrich the lives of your settlers with the addition of cats and dogs. Dogs protect your crops from deer and the new groundhogs, and your chickens from shrewd foxes. Cats keep the town food stores clear of rats. Villagers will adore their new animal companions in their free time.
